Fast forward to the 21st century and we discover that there is still A church in Croydon. It may have many expressions and meet in a variety of different venues, but at its heart is the determination to be one body.
This website is attempting to represent the church, in its breadth of activities and mission, across the whole of the Borough. It’s a tool for communication so that a prayer group in Coulsdon can get an insight into what’s going on in Thornton Heath and pray accordingly; or a fellowship in Addiscombe wondering how to reach out to their community can be inspired by a project in South Croydon.
Working in tandem with the website is the Church in Croydon prayer meeting held three times a year. The next meeting will be on 22nd October 2008, 7.30pm at the New Life Christian Centre, Cairo New Road, Croydon, focusing our prayers on 'Croydon People'. All are very welcome.
The church is people and it is our very great hope that somewhere in this website you will find where you fit in– if your project or ministry isn’t mentioned, or your event doesn’t appear on the calendar, please do let us know.
