NOW IS THE TIME!
GOD WAS WITH US!
The 25th of April was a great day for CSCN. A very tired group met together but by the end of the meeting all felt encouraged, refreshed and envisioned.
We had an excellent mix of people from a variety of schools in Croydon representing all staff levels. We worshipped our Lord and shared our own experiences. This was followed by praying in small groups for each others needs.
Experience tells us that even when we feel we are unable to do another thing but we drag ourselves to a place of blessing, God will lift us up and give us all we need to be more than conquerors!
It is the vision that keeps us going, for without a vision the people perish. We all know from where our strength comes. It comes from the Lord!

IMPORTANT UPDATE OF PREVIOUS COMMUNICATION
The first Croydon Schools Christian weekend Away will be at Ashburnham Christian Centre near Hastings from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th January 2009. It is a crazy time of year but somehow the young people love it. Each year St Andrew’s High School fill Ashburnham with over 200 of our young people. This is a very exciting weekend where we see many saved and many more renewed and envisioned in their faith.
It is such a good time that we want to share it with other schools in Croydon.
We are advertising this early to you so that you will have the opportunity to take part before we offer the remaining places to our own young people this September.
The weekend will be for the current years 7 to 10. We have now booked Ashburnham for 270 places. They will be filled. To help us plan ahead, please tell me how many students and members of staff you estimate will come from your school. The Jam Team can then come to your school early in June to talk to interested pupils about the weekend.
We would expect firm bookings with full payment before the end of the summer term.
Whilst Simon Archer and I organise it and the JAM Team from New Life provide the programme content, you will be responsible for your own young people. We work on a ratio of about 10:1 with a minimum of 1 male and 1 female leader if the group is mixed.
We have all of the paperwork so that part will be very easy for you.
I am sure you have lots of questions so please fire away. Please email me on blowers777@hotmail.com.
THE NEXT MEETING OF CSCN
