Purley’s Town Chaplaincy has been operating for several years now and has been well received by traders in the community.
Visits take place once a fortnight and the teams have had opportunities to befriend and offer a listening ear to people of all religions and none. Many businesses have gone through very tough times recently and traders appreciate the concern shown by the chaplains. Offers of prayer are often warmly accepted and one trader has even asked if she can study the Bible during her visit.
