CPFC CHAPLAINCY 
 

chris roeChris Roe of Croydon Jubilee Church is the chaplain to Crystal Palace Football Club, Croydon`s foremost professional football team.
 
Established in 1905, Palace currently play in the Championship.Having almost gone out of business earlier in the year, the club are now in a rebuilding process and committed to re-establishing themselves at the heart of the community.
Palace are liasing with Chris to work with and alongside the church(es) in the community in Croydon.
 
Chris became chaplain to Palace in Christmas 2005, shortly before his predecessor, Rev Nigel Sands, officially retired at the end of the 2005/06 season. Nigel served the club faithfully for 33 years and was one of the first ever chaplains in football.
 
Chris is affiliated to `Score`, a charity that serves and promotes sport through chaplaincy.
