Jill is a registered nurse of over 30 years, with specialist experience in cancer care at The Royal Marsden Hospital, and a Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist in Breast Cancer at Mayday Hospital. She also has a BSc (Hons) in Health Studies, and is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Applied Theology at Spurgeons College.

 

She has worked as a Parish Nurse since 2007, firstly for 18 months with Morden Baptist and since November 2008 at Christ Church (Anglican) West Croydon. The Diocese of Croydon help fund the ministry which enables Jill to be involved in borough healthcare provision as well as having some national involvement. She is also on the PCC and church ministry team.

 

Jill is also the Coordinator for South Thames and South for PNMUK and mentors all Parish Nurses in this area, a no mean feat, which also means promoting the work with other churches and nurses and meeting new contacts.

 

She is married to David, a teacher and has 2 children, Jon an IT Support Specialist and Rebecca, studying Film and TV Production at University. They have 2 dogs and a cat and like cycling, caravanning and anything relaxing.
