| Evangelistic Outreach to Muslims | | Is there anyone out there already engaged in outreach to Muslims? If so, can you give me some tips on what to do what not to do etc. They are building a mosque close to our Church and I am considering an appproach to the people using the mosque along the lines: 'You've moved here so I assume you would like to know more about Jesus?' Is this a good approach or is it too direct? What do you think? Yours in Christ Indigena Cofe (not my real name)

As we know, muslims hold Jesus in very high respect. In fact they are sometimes the first to complain when Jesus is misrepresented. What would Jesus do? Sometimes the main problem with Christians is that they see us as people who do not practice what we preach. I supose we can be white washed walls or white wash their walls! Maybe offers of cups of tea to the workers or maybe even cake but don't let the other arm know what you are reaching out to the with!
Christianity is unique and the most powerful thing we can do is show kindness to them and if they ask why, tell them it is because Jesus is our Lord and Saviour and we want to follow his example. I wonder what religion was followed by those who Jesus healed as a sign of the Kingdom of God?
